2018 US ASPIRE Investigator Research Awards in Endocrinology
As competition for research funding opportunities increases, the ASPIRE program underscores Pfizer's commitment to supporting exceptional investigators with an interest in advancing their academic research careers in Endocrinology.
The mission of the 2018 US ASPIRE Investigator Research Awards in Endocrinology is to advance the medical knowledge of the fundamental mechanisms of disease, mechanisms of action of current and potential future treatments, and to improve the care of patients with endocrine disorders.
The ASPIRE Program demonstrates Pfizer’s commitment to supporting exceptional investigators with an interest in advancing knowledge in defined disease areas of endocrinology.
Scientific research continues to advance our knowledge and understanding of endocrine disorders and their treatments. The 2018 US ASPIRE Investigator Research Awards in Endocrinology is designed to:
- Support exceptional investigators working in the field of endocrinology.
- Advance the understanding of disease mechanisms or treatments through translational basic science or clinical research in order to enhance the clinical care of adult patients with endocrine diseases.
Pfizer invites interested investigators to apply for the 2018 US ASPIRE Investigator Research Awards in Endocrinology. Funding will be provided to research proposals that seek to explore translational or clinical research in the following endocrinology areas:
- Acromegaly in Adults
Deadline: Apr. 27, 2018
To be eligible for an investigator award, applicants must
- have a professional degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent)
- Study must take place entirely in the US, all sites must be located in the US. Principal Investigator and sponsoring organization must be located in the United States
Investigators must be qualified to carry out the proposed investigation. Assessments of investigator qualification will be made on the basis of their commitment to research in this area, a dedicated faculty assignment and previous research and publication experience.
Note: Current external review panel members are not eligible to apply, either as applicant or co-applicant. Serving as a mentor to the applicants is permitted
Pfizer is funding 2 awards of up to $75,000 each over 2 years to conduct basic science, translational or clinical research generating data that will help advance the science of acromegaly in adults.
