Administration for Community Living -- Innovations in Nutrition Programs and Services - Demonstration

Through this funding opportunity, the Administration on Aging (AoA), part of the Administration for Community Living (ACL), plans to award approximately 10 cooperative agreements to domestic public or private non-profit entities for a 36 month project period, pending the availability of funding. This funding opportunity is for competitive grants to be awarded under the Older Americans Act (OAA) Title IV authority to support the demonstration and documentation of innovative projects that enhance the quality, effectiveness, and other proven outcomes of nutrition programs and services within the aging services network (i.e., State Units on Aging, Area Agencies on Aging and local partners).

An innovation funded through this announcement must:

1. Include the introduction of a new product, service, or process that has strong potential for replication by the aging services network using OAA funding or;

2. Include the introduction of a significant enhancement to an existing product, service, or process that has strong potential for replication by the aging services network using OAA funding.

Eligibility Requirements

Successful applicants will be expected to have demonstrated extensive knowledge and presented a proven track record of expertise concerning the nature of nutrition for older individuals and the business of nutrition program administration within the aging network.

Applicants must be a OAA Title III recipient, or have a signed letter of commitment from a key partner that receives OAA Title III funds.
