Best Practices in HR+ HER2- Metastatic Breast Cancer Medical Management

Pfizer Global Medical Grants (GMG) supports the global healthcare community’s independent initiatives (e.g., research, quality improvement, or education) to improve patient outcomes in areas of unmet medical need that are aligned with Pfizer’s medical and/or scientific strategies. Pfizer’s GMG competitive grant program involves a publicly posted general Request for Proposal (RFP) that provides detail regarding a general area of interest, sets timelines for review and approval, and uses an internal Pfizer review process to make final grant decisions. Organizations are invited to submit an application addressing the knowledge gaps as outlined in the specific RFP.

Healthcare professionals need to understand the latest scientific data in order to make evidence-based treatment decisions and provide optimal care for patients with ER+ HER2- metastatic breast cancer. Areas of interest include but not limited to:

• Understanding and applying clinical guidelines in practice.

• Interpreting real-world evidence/real-world data and its applicability to treatment decision making.

The intent of this RFP is to encourage medical education proposals under the following format:

Online, virtual, technology-enabled activities that have a wide reach to a large number of healthcare professionals in the regions of interest. All medical education organizations are encouraged to apply. Activities should primarily be in English although translated resources to other languages would also be of interest. Practical tools to support clinical practice and patient education are also in-scope of this RFP.

Proposals can be either: • Regional, multi-country programs. • Country, locally led programs.

Target Audience: Members of multidisciplinary care teams for breast cancer treatment including but not limited to medical oncologists, oncology surgeons, pharmacists, and specialist nurses.

Eligibility Requirements

Geographic Scope: Latin America, Africa, Middle East and Asia-Pacific*(except China)

• The following may apply: medical, nursing, allied health, and/or pharmacy professional schools; healthcare institutions (both large and small); professional associations and medical societies; medical education companies; and other entities with a mission related to healthcare professional education and/or healthcare improvement. • If the project involves multiple departments within an institution and/or between different institutions / organizations / associations, all institutions must have a relevant role and the requesting organization must have a key role in the project. • For projects offering continuing education credit, the requesting organization must be accredited.

Amount Description

• Regional, multi-country programs requesting up to $250,000 will be considered. • Country, locally led programs requesting up to $50,000 will be considered. • The estimated total available budget related to this RFP is $500,000.
