BLM National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) Regional Fire Science Exchange Announcement (One Task Statement)

The Joint Fire Science Program (JFSP) is a partnership of seven federal wildland fire management and research agencies that have a shared need to address problems associated with managing wildland fuels, fires, and fire-impacted ecosystems.

The objective of this task statement is to solicit proposals to lead and execute a particular regional fire science exchange for a period of two years. This solicitation is seeking individual proposals (i.e., each proposal must be specific to one region) for the following nine regions of the FSEN: Appalachians, California, Great Plains, Lake States, North Atlantic, Southern, Southern Rockies, Southwest, and Tallgrass Prairie.

Amount Description

Based on data from previous years, BLM anticipates up to $4,206,000 in funding for FY 2024 through this announcement depending on program funding availability. Individual award amounts will depend on the merit review process of application packages and proposed budget. Funding for this program is not guaranteed and is subject to the availability of funds.
