Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies -- Mellon Conference Travel Grants for Graduate Students [Duke Internal Funding -- for Duke Graduate Students Only]
With funding received from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies is able to offer travel awards for Duke graduate students who will present papers on Latin American and/or Caribbean topics at conferences or professional meetings.
There is no set deadline - applications will be considered as they are received until the funds run out for the year. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as they receive confirmation of their acceptance to the conference, and at least 30 days before the date of the conference. Duke graduate students at any level are eligible to apply.
Please note - all available graduate student conference funding for 2016-17 has been awarded. No more funds are available for this year. Please check back in August 2017 for funding for next year.
Award amounts will vary, with an average award of $350 for domestic travel and a maximum award of $500 for international travel.
