Clinician Scientist Development Grant (CSDG)

The Clinician Scientist Development Grant (CSDG) fosters the development of clinicians to clinician scientists. Clinician scientists are investigators licensed to provide patient care and trained to conduct research. They pursue research questions across the cancer research continuum of relevance to improving health.

The CSDG provides support for protected time to allow junior faculty who see patients to be mentored and participate in research training to aid their development as independent clinician scientists.

Who's Eligible: Applicants must be full-time and within the first 6 years of their initial faculty appointment.

$135,000

Amount Description

Grant Term and Budget: Awards range from 3 to 5 years, for a maximum $135,000 Direct costs, plus 8% allowable indirect costs per year. The mentor(s) receive a maximum of $10,000 per year (regardless of the number of mentors). That amount is included in the $135,000.
