Coordinating Center for Research to Promote the Health of Children with Birth Defects and People with Developmental and Other Disabilities
The National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities (NCBDDD) seeks to develop an external coordinating center for research and dissemination of information that supports the Center’s mission and advances its scientific and research agenda by conducting research across a network of universities and other institutions of higher learning that specialize in birth defects, blood disorders, developmental and other types of disability research.
Only one application per institution is allowed.

The estimated total funding (direct and indirect costs) for the first budget period is approximately $675,000 and the estimated total funding (direct and indirect) for the entire project period is $15,025,000.
Owing to the sponsor's restriction on the number of applications that may be submitted from Duke, anyone wishing to pursue nomination should submit the following materials as one PDF.
* A letter of support from dean or chair - 1 to 1.5 pages
* Project summary - 2 to 4 pages
* CV or Biosketch of project leader
