David W. Towle Fellowships

Funding Agency:
Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory

The David W. Towle Fellowship welcomes applications from graduate students from both US and international institutions to spend the summer at the MDI Biological Laboratory working on their thesis research under the supervision of a faculty member or visiting scientist. Preference is given to students interested in the physiology of marine organisms, however that interest is not a requirement.

Graduate student applicants must submit a brief research proposal (co-sponsored by a member of the resident or visiting faculty), a faculty-sponsor recommendation, proof of graduate school enrollment, and a CV.

Applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. Applications must be submitted at least 3 months in advance of the proposed research visit.
