This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) solicits Phase I (R41), Phase II (R42), and Fast-track (R42) Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) grant applications from small business concerns (SBCs) in collaboration with environmental science researchers to develop novel tools, activities, or materials to build environmental health literacy for a variety of groups, including community members, health care and public health professionals, educators, and students of all ages.

Only United States small business concerns (SBCs) are eligible to submit applications for this opportunity.

Amount Description

NIEHS will accept STTR application total funding support (direct costs, indirect costs, fee) requests up to $259,613 for Phase I and $1,730,751 for Phase II. In all cases, applicants should propose a budget that is reasonable and appropriate for completion of the research project.

Durations up to 1 year for Phase I and up to 2 years for Phase II may be requested.
