The Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation (SWCRF), in collaboration with the Intramural Programs of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and National Institute of Aging (NIA), is pleased to issue a Request for Applications (RFA) for collaborative projects to focus on Aging and Cancer. Projects must include collaborations between an extramural investigator and an intramural investigator from the NIA or NCI. Proposals must justify the partnership through synergistic scientific aims. Awards will provide up to $100,000/year to each PI for up to two years.
Teams consisting of one principal Investigator from the NCI- or NIA Intramural Research Program and a non NIH-based investigator may apply for a two-year grant for up to $200,000 ($100,000 per year, which may include up to 10% for overhead for the non-NIH investigator).
The RFA will use a two stage process. In the first phase a one page, structured letter of intent will be reviewed by a panel from the SWCRF, NCI and NIA. A select number of applications will be invited to submit a full application.
