The NIH Countermeasures Against Chemical Threats (CounterACT) program intends to publish a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) to solicit applications for the discovery and early-stage development of safe and effective new and repurposed drug candidates to mitigate the health effects resulting from exposure to highly toxic chemical threats. This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. The FOA is expected to be published in spring 2022 with an expected application due date in fall 2022. NIH is planning a Webinar to describe this funding opportunity to future applicants when the funding opportunity is published.
