Office of Undergraduate Scholars and Fellowships -- U.S. Student Fulbright Competition

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers opportunities for recent graduates, graduate students, and developing professionals and artists to conduct research, teach, and study in 120+ countries worldwide. Over 2,000 awards are offered annually; NCS Advisors including Anna Bernard-Hoverstad are available to help applicants determine which programs could be a good fit for their goals and interests. 

Deadline: August 23, 2024

Eligibility Requirements
  • Applicants can be graduating seniors, graduate students, and recent alumni. Applicants must be U.S. citizens by the application deadline, with a Bachelor’s degree by the start of the grant. Doctoral students may not hold a PhD at time of application.
  • Applicants should review Fulbright Eligibility Requirements as well as Award Pages in detail for additional country-specific requirements.
Amount Description

The Fulbright U.S. Student program provides a living expense stipend to all grantees; amounts vary by country. All grantees receive funding for one round-trip flight to their host country, as well as access to a 24/7 assistance hotline. 

The Fulbright alumni network is robust, with many opportunities for networking after the experience. Grantees also receive NCE hiring status for one year post-award
