The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) seeks applications for funding to increase the availability of accessible victim services in the field. This program furthers the DOJ’s mission by supporting victims of crime.
This program is designed to improve and expand the availability of accessible victim-centered, trauma-informed services for crime victims who are disabled, Deaf, hard-of-hearing, limited English proficient, blind, and/or visually impaired.
OVC will use this solicitation to fund accessible direct services for these victims, provide dedicated training and technical assistance to assist victim-serving organizations with the development and implementation of accessibility plans, and identify innovative approaches to serving these victims for replication within the field.
Category 1: Direct Services
This category will fund awards to provide accessible victim-centered and trauma-informed services for victims of crime with accessibility needs.
Under Category 1, OVC anticipates making up to 10 awards of up to $400,000 each for up to a 24-month period of performance, to begin on October 1, 2022.
Category 2: Training and Technical Assistance (TTA)
The TTA provider selected will deliver an array of TTA resources and guidance that support the direct service grantees and the overall initiative.
Under Category 2, OVC anticipates making one award of up to $1 million for up to a 24-month period of performance, to begin on October 1, 2022.

OVC expects to make up to 10 awards of up to $200,000 each. The estimated total amount awarded under this program is anticipated to be $2 million. OVC expects to make awards for a 24-month period of performance, to begin on October 1, 2019.
