Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Catalyst Grant
The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network Catalyst Grant represents an effort to encourage and support junior faculty to conduct pancreatic cancer research and establish successful career paths in this field. The grants provide $500,000 over three years for junior investigators that have yet to secure their first major research funding. The research proposed for funding may be basic, translational, clinical or epidemiological in nature and must have direct applicability and relevance to pancreatic cancer.
Deadline: Dec. 7, 2018
Applicants must have a doctoral degree (including PhD, MD, DO, DC, ND, DDS, DVM, ScD, DNS, PharmD or equivalent) in the biomedical sciences or in a field applicable to health science research and may not currently be a candidate for a further doctoral degree.
At the start of the grant term on July 1, 2019, applicants must: • Hold a faculty position with the title of assistant professor, instructor, research assistant professor or the equivalent. • Applicants that have progressed to associate professor appointments are not eligible. • If eligibility is based on a future position, the position must be confirmed at the time of application and cannot be contingent upon receiving this grant. • If the future position is at a different institution than the applicant’s current institution, the applicant must contact PanCAN’s Research Grants Department at email@example.com before submitting his/her application for information on additional verification materials/signatures that may be required.
