The Passano Foundation recognizes members of the medical and scientific community who have made an outstanding research contribution. Based upon the ideals and vision of the late Edward Boetler Passano, The foundation presents an award each year to a research physician who has made an exceptional contribution to the advancement of medical science.
The award will be given to an established investigator in recognition of his or her research that leads to clinical medical applications. Prime consideration is given to work that has immediate clinical value or gives promise of practical application in the near future. An annual award is also given to a young scientist or scientists to promote continuing research.
Applications are accepted throughout the year with selections made in December.
