Areas of Interest
This FOA will stimulate the development of innovative statistical, data science, or other quantitative methods to studying environmental chemical mixtures using an interdisciplinary approach. Approaches of interest will account for the known data complexities as well as the underlying biology of exposures to guide statistical and mathematical models. Methods must include concepts from the fields of statistics, mathematics, epidemiology, toxicology, biology, economics, informatics, engineering, data science, or related fields. Projects supported under this FOA will further the development of innovative approaches, expanding beyond traditional statistical methodologies, with practical applications in environmental epidemiology.
Application budgets can be up to $350,000 per year in direct costs but need to reflect the actual needs of the proposed project.
The maximum project period is 5 years.
