The SFP Research Fund has two open funding opportunities, described below. The application periods for both the Changemakers in Family Planning and the Emerging Scholars in Family Planning grants are now open. Details on the two funding opportunities follow:

Changemakers in Family Planning
Purpose: To provide dedicated support to researchers of color

Awardees will receive: 20% protected time, funds for a career development activity, stipends for two mentors, participation in the Changemakers cohort, Society of Family Planning membership dues for two years, covered attendance (registration, travel, lodging) at the 2019 and 2020 Society of Family Planning Annual Meeting, and attendance at a private networking event at the annual meeting.

 
 
Emerging Scholars in Family Planning
Purpose: To support trainees to establish a family planning research portfolio  
 
Awardees will receive: funds for a research project, funds to publish one open-access publication, participation in the Emerging Scholars cohort, Society of Family Planning membership dues for the year of the award, covered attendance (registration, travel, lodging) at the 2019 and 2020 Society of Family Planning Annual Meeting, and a stipend for an SFP-matched mentor.
