The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is now accepting proposals for two-year grants totaling $850,000 for new research. The Alliance seeks innovative translational research proposals with the potential for high impact on the treatment or diagnosis of colorectal cancer. Up to seven awards are expected to be made this year.
In this cycle, proposals will be accepted for Early Career Investigator Awards and Pilot Awards to support the training of committed CRC researchers and foster innovation. We seek proposals aligning with our Research Investment Strategy, and this funding cycle will prioritize research focused on:
- Understanding the causes and improved interventions in young-onset CRC
- The prognostic and therapeutic value of the microbiome
- Development of combination therapies
- Understanding the causes and interventions for racial and ethnic disparities in CRC
Early Career Investigator applicants must submit an eligibility checklist by June 9, 2022. Full proposals for both mechanisms are due July 25, 2022.
Multiple applications will be accepted from a single institution, provided that each application has a different PI and represents a distinct hypothesis.
