The Duke Funding Alert newsletter, published every Monday, provides information on all new and updated grants and fellowships added to the database during the prior week. This listserv is restricted to members of the Duke community.
The National MPS Society funds research that may lead to treatments for MPS diseases and solicits applications for innovative research projects that involve basic research, translational studies and clinical research. Funding can also be requested for a research fellowship. Special consideration will be given to new investigators.
Deadline for Letter of Intent: May 20, 2020
Only one application per investigator or one per laboratory will be accepted.
- Any MPS syndrome (general grant): One (1) $80,000 grant
- MPS III (Sanfilippo syndrome): One (1) $120,000 grant
- MPS IVA (Morquio A syndrome) : One (1) $70,000 grant
Each grant is awarded for two years, with half of total funding provided in 2016 and half in 2017. Syndrome specific research not awarded funding in its specific category will also be considered for funding within the general MPS funding category.
MPS I (Hurler syndrome): One (1) $25,000 grant
MPS II (Hunter syndrome): One (1) $25,000 grant
ML II/III (Mucolipidosis II/III): One (1) $30,000 grant
Each grant is awarded for one year, with 100% of the funding awarded in 2016. Syndrome specific research not awarded funding in its specific category will also be considered for funding within the general MPS funding category
