Understanding Processes of Recovery in the Treatment of Alcohol Use Disorder (R01, R21 Clinical Trial Optional)

 The purpose of this FOA is encourage applications that seek to examine processes of recovery and relapse in the treatment of Alcohol Use Disorders.  Applications high in innovation and significance are highly encouraged that address the following potential topics: 1) defining recovery; 2) Examining new and innovative methods to examine precipitants of relapse; 3) Understanding mechanisms of mutual help and recovery; 4) Evaluating recovery systems of care; and 5) Examining processes of extended treatment for AUD. .

Although this funding opportunity uses the R01 grant mechanism, it runs in parallel with a program announcement of identical scientific scope, PA-18-620, which uses the R21 grant mechanism.
