U.S. Mission to India -- Empowering Youth to Combat GBV
The U.S. Consulate General, Public Affairs Section in Hyderabad is soliciting proposals for a grant/cooperative agreement that meets the specifications stated in Section II from legallyrecognized non-profit, non-governmental organizations that meet U.S. and Indian technical and legal requirements to develop and implement public diplomacy programs as specified by Section II below. Background: Youth play a critical role in shaping the society and there is a critical need to engage them, both women and men, especially in establishing a society free of gender based violence.
Program Goals: The goals of this funding opportunity are to:
1. Counter GBV through positive messages and tolerant perspectives that enhance and amplify community-based GBV and women’s programs.
2. Strengthen people-to-people ties between the United States and India through exchanges of information, experiences and expertise.
Deadline: July 21, 2017
Eligibility is open to all non-profit, non-governmental organizations. Individuals are not eligible for an award under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). Organizations may sub-contract with other entities, but only one, non-profit, non-governmental entity can be the prime recipient of the award. When sub-contracting with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
Minimum (“Floor”) Award Amount: $60,000
Maximum (“Ceiling”) Award Amount: $70,000
