The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Mission in Zambia seeks concept papers from qualified applicants to implement a five-year cooperative agreement to improve health outcomes for Zambians by expanding access to effective measures for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of malaria.

The overall objective of the End Malaria Program (EMP) activity is to improve health outcomes for Zambians by expanding access to effective measures for prevention, diagnosis and treatment of malaria in the four high-burden provinces of Luapula, Northern, Muchinga, and Eastern. A select number of districts in Eastern Province will receive special earmarked funds for preelimination activities, beginning with Sinda, Katete, Chadiza, Petauke and Chipata, and potentially increasing in number as gains are consolidated.

Eligibility Requirements

Any qualified U.S., Zambian or other non-US organizations (this includes private, non-profit organizations, or for-profit organizations willing to forego profits, universities, research organizations, professional associations, relevant special interest associations. Faith-based and community organizations) may participate under this RFA, except individuals and governments.

Amount Description

USAID intends to award a single Cooperative Agreement pursuant to this notice of funding opportunity. Subject to availability of funds and at the discretion of the Agency, USAID intends to provide approximately $38M over five years (5) period.
